I started at Pratt 9 months ago with lifting experience but I had always struggled in the leg exercise department. I was born with dislocated hips and knees and was never comfortable with any of the exercises I was trying especially as an athlete. I was 1 year post ankle surgery when I started up lifting again but this time I joined Pratt to get my strength the best it could be. I have had athletic trainers tell me my entire life because of my history I could not strain the growth of my leg muscle without stressing out my hips and knees. Pratt showed me that it was totally possible and the attention to detail of trainers really matters. Every program made for me takes into account what my body can and cannot do. They never tell me I cannot do something they listen to my body and adjust exercises slightly and to a point that works so I am still challenging myself to get where I want to be. I have been extremely happy with my growth and will continue to show up and challenge myself thanks to this amazing team!

As of today it is my 2nd week and 3rd day with Pratt. So far I love the staff and work outs. Everyone is very pleasant and friendly. Work outs are very challenging for the targeted areas, and I'm hoping to improve soon. I'm glad to be part of Pratt family and planning on continuing as long as I can.l :))

Today was a milestone day for me. I set a goal for myself to hit a particular number on the scale that I haven’t seen in the last over 11 years (since I was pregnant with my daughters). A year and 4 months ago I joined PPT and zoned in on my goal and have been determined to hit it ever since. Today I reached my goal. I could never have done it without the unwavering support from all of the trainers and staff at PPT. You never really know what someone is going through and working out here has saved me in so many ways. This gym is more than a place to train - it has helped me physically , mentally and emotionally and it all started with one small change - going to the gym 5 mornings a week, which turned into a habit, which created a domino effect of many small changes implemented throughout the year. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of you at PPT. I can’t wait to see what the next year and 4 months has in store for me.

I cannot speak highly enough about the entire team at Pratt Personal Training. I honestly wish I could give them more than 5 stars for their superb client experience and onboarding process. I am a sports physical therapist in the area and have interacted with countless personal trainers throughout my career. None of them compared to this. Their approach to client care is exceptional. They take the time to get to know you prior to stepping foot in the gym, and make sure your goals align with what they offer at Pratt. I worked one on one with Kyle for my first assessment, and was blown away by his attention to detail and cuing during my exercises. Over the course of my time at Pratt I also worked with other personal trainers who were phenomenal. They create an atmosphere here that makes you want to show up and get your workout done. I highly recommend the entire team at Pratt Personal Training if you are looking to crush your goals and avoid being in pain!

I LOVE PRATT!! Hands down the best decision I ever made for my health was going to Pratt Personal Training. I've been going for 60 days now and I've never been so encouraged or motivated to stick with a training program. James Pratt

James has been a trainer since 2008. He graduated from Kean University with a degree in Physical Education/Adult Fitness. James started PPS in hopes of solving the issues of overpriced Personal Training and a one size fits all group class.

Sidney Tate

Training Manager

Sidney graduated college with an Athletic Training degree in 2017. She then went on to work at Kean University as an athletic trainer while receiving her Masters in Exercise Science until 2020. During this time, she interned at Pratt Performance Systems and became a full time member of the PPS team in October 2020. Sidney loves the positive impact she can make every day with all of the PPS members as she helps them reach their goals.

Jayme received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Kean University in Athletic Training and Exercise Science. He has worked as a certified, licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of New Jersey for the last ten years.
